The Trump impeachment show trial continues as the Democrats usual material that is unlikely to be relevant and is instead highly prejudicial to try and persuade the US public to respond emotionally to the events of January 6. It seems this trial is more about demonising Trump to the US public than anything to do with the actual impeachment trial, which it seems the Democrats are unlikely to win. The Conversation, points out that the only rules of trial in a Senate trial are the Senate procedural rules which can be changed by a majority (which the Democrats have) at any point. This trial clearly has no procedural fairness and is a sham.
Biden signs an executive order demanding schools allow students to compete in school support in their chosen gender identity. I assume that means whether they choose to compete in boys or girls races and not that schools will now have to have individual races for every different gender identity of which there are many according to those who subscribe to gender identity theory. The rush to affirm trans rights comes at the expense of women's rights, although advocates of trans rights would strenuously deny this. There needs to be a public conversation about why we have segregated change rooms in the first place. Why we don't allow people to walk naked around the streets. This then provides a foundation for how these basic principles are then addressed in the context of trans people.
