The Great Reset - An introduction

This week the ' Great Reset ' was mentioned in the Australian Senate. Senator Hanson (PHON) moved a motion : ' That the Senate— (a) notes that adopting the policies of the World Economic Forum's proposed 'Great Reset' would have a devastating impact on the economic wellbeing and individual freedoms of Australians; and (b) calls on the Government to boycott all World Economic Forum events in protest of their 'Great Reset' agenda.' It was resolved in the negative 2 - 37. The Greens Senator Rice, linked in Agenda 21 and then argued that it was better to lose 'economic and individual freedoms' than to die of corona virus. This argument is a sad reflection on the quality of substantive debate occurring in the Australian Senate; however, raises the issue of exactly what is 'The Great Reset'. 'The Great Reset' is an initiative of the World Economic Forum in response to the COVID-19 crisis. The goal of the Great Reset is to build a ...

Worldwatch Saturday 14 November 2020

Understanding world events is an ever increasingly complex task due to the plethora of misinformation that is purported to be factual. Even the mainstream media seems to have reverted to publishing opinion rather than sources and verifiable facts. In the US it is being reported that Judge Alito ordered the segregation of votes received in Pennsylvania after 8pm on election day, with a subsequent decision by Judge Leavitt ordering that those votes are invalid and must not be counted. Unfortunately, citations to the cases are not provided and I am not sufficiently familiar with US law to locate them. The mainstream press has always staunchly denied the possibility of voter fraud, which is seemingly ludicrous given that it seems likely that voter fraud would always be a part of every election. The real question is to what extent has voter fraud occurred and does it have a material impact on the election. Yet this dichotomy does not seem to be even accepted as a possibility by many of the ...

World Events

Multiple significant occurrences are simultaneously happening in the world at present. This post will start to highlight some of these and hopefully will build on and add to in subsequent posts: The United States election debacle continues with Biden-Harris (Democracts) claiming victory in the presidential election, whilst Trump (Republicans) is claiming that the election result is subject to ongoing litigation relating to fraudulent votes and fraudulent vote counting. Meanwhile, COVID continues, but apparently only if you are not celebrating winning the election. China has a number of significant considerations including COVID-19, the treatment of the Uyghurs, the human rights comments on the United States and the border control issues with imports from Australia. Hong Kong continues to feel the effects of the Chinese influence in its democracy. It seems that the Chinese agenda may be to move to a situation where it seeks to see Hong Kong no longer recognised as an inde...

Are we witnessing the destruction of the West

Last night I went to bed with Trump seemingly having a path to the Whitehouse. Even left-winged commentators in Australia such as Richo and Hildebrand seemed to think that Trump was likely to win (or at least very close).  Upon waking this morning Joe Biden seems to have won the election with almost probability-defying percentages in the mail-in votes. Whether the election has been 'stolen', as Trump claims (and which the Australian media, with their usual anti-Trump rhetoric, refuse to even countenance) or whether the almost impossible actually happened, it raises the question of a Kamala Harris Presidency and what that would mean for the liberal democracy in the United States. Combine that with the multi-cultural problems in France and the decision by the majority Labor government in New Zealand forging an unnecessary coalition with the Greens and you wonder if we are seeing the end of Western Civilisation as we know it. Even on a smaller scale within Australia th...
